- Serve as a technical point of contact for case teams on assigned matters, executing workflows and escalating strategic decisions as needed.
- Support and execute technical aspects of electronic discovery and litigation support for assigned matters.
- Support attorneys by implementing established best practices and escalating questions as needed.
- Process ESI using in-house processing tools such as Relativity and RelativityOne (includes de-duplication, culling/filtering, text/metadata extraction, OCRing non-searchable files, tiff conversion, error/exception handling, and quality control).
- Manipulate data using MS Access, Excel, ReadySuite, TextPad/UltraEdit and other tools.
- Load electronic documents (images, metadata, native files, transcripts, videos, and exhibits) into databases for attorney review. Systems include Relativity, RelativityOne, and Case Notebook.
- Create small to large electronic document productions in Relativity and RelativityOne in accordance with applicable rules and protocols by administering attorney coding conflict checks, redactions, endorsements, and appropriate image placeholders.
- Review and validate tiff images, native files, load files, and transcripts/exhibits before and after loading data.
- Support document review workflows with responsibilities such as providing database user access, batching documents, performing complex searches, applying analytics, preparing reports, exporting data, uploading data to File Transfer Protocol (FTP) site, and executing top-notch QC analysis.
- Create and manage privilege logs, metadata fields, and custom reports.
- Support senior members of the Litigation Technology team on complex matters and projects.
- Provide coverage for the Litigation Technology helpline and general incoming requests via the department email.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to litigation technology applications, databases, and workflows.
- Assist with system upgrades and server migrations as required.
- Coordinate with electronic discovery vendors and support oversight of data collections, processing, and productions.
- Maintain media inventory database (chain of custody), including creating and copying media.
- Set up department laptops, including installing, configuring, and testing applications as needed.
- Provide advanced technological support at depositions and trials (e.g., Real-Time LiveNote connections, exhibit management, trial presentation tools, and courtroom technology support).
- Train and mentor junior members of the Litigation Technology Team along with training case teams on litigation technology tools and workflows.
- Stay current on emerging litigation technology/electronic discovery trends and latest legal technology-related news events.
- Other responsibilities as they are assigned as needed.
The anticipated base salary range offered for this role will be between $70,000 to $100,000 and represents the Firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the base compensation range. Actual base compensation will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, performance, qualifications, degrees, and location, as well as the needs of the firm.
