Overview

We are seeking an Assistant to join our Attorney Talent team in the New York office. This is a hybrid role with a requirement to be in the office three days a week. This role is responsible for assisting with key attorney talent and HR processes such as onboarding, offboarding, data entry, and employee record maintenance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate details related to onboarding of lateral associates, including the collection of paperwork and preparation of orientation schedules and materials.
  • Maintain personnel records in Workday by uploading relevant documents and processing changes.
  • Respond to requests for employment verifications and prepare verification letters.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and scheduling related to the Transactional Rotation Program.
  • Work with the team on new associate orientation planning and preparation and maintain First Year Associate spreadsheet .
  • Process and track a high volume of invoices and expenses in Emburse Chrome River.
  • Provide general administrative assistance to the Attorney Talent Department such as responding to attorney inquiries.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Compensation: The anticipated base salary range offered for this role will be between $50,000 to $65,000 and represents the firm's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base compensation range. Actual base compensation will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, performance, qualifications, degrees, and location, as well as the needs of the firm.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 1+ years of administrative experience, ideally in an HR or legal environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel skills); experience with HRIS or applicant tracking systems a plus.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Be a proactive, self-starter and have strong client service orientation.
  • Be a team-player, able to take direction and be a quick-learner.
  • Must be able to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Must be able to apply good judgment.
  • Must be flexible for overtime as needed.
